The NWJIP is hosted a workshop called Contracting For Personalised Outcomes and was held on the 18th January 2010 at The City of Manchester Stadium. 

The seminars built on the Putting People First Delivery Programme which ran a project in 2008-09 that brought together learning from a number of councils about how they were changing their commissioning and contracting arrangements to be more in line with personalisation.  This resulted in the publication 'Contracting for personalised outcomes; learning and emerging practice' August 2009. 

Areas of focus included innovative practice around personalisation such as:

• Individual service funds (ISFs)
• Specifying framework contracts for personalised services
• Designing and running the tendering process
• Enabling new approaches to work effectively.
