The Institute of Public Care, on behalf of Skills for Care North West and the North West Joint Improvement Partnership, has developed resources to help commissioners in the North West develop their skills.

The resources include:

• a tool for assessing the skills of individuals and teams.
• a learning directory with education and training solutions.
• a Manager's Guide, containing the above resources and guidance for their use.

The resources are for use by:

• senior staff with an overall responsibility for commissioning.
• commissioners of adult health and wellbeing services.
• staff with a responsibility for the training and development of the above.
